Why There is a Need for Digital Exam Clocks?
There is an ongoing debate in the academic community about replacing analogue clocks with digital exam clocks . Many suggest that digital clocks are more beneficial to students during time pressure situations like exams. The reason behind this is several teachers find their students struggling with telling time in analog format. For adults who are familiar with the standard clock face, telling time this way is not a problem. But for the younger generation who are more exposed to seeing time in digital format on their mobile phone and computers, it is a struggle. According to some teachers, their students find it hard to answer a question in say, 15 minutes, if they are looking at the traditional clock. But when they are looking at the digital format, the manner which they are familiar with, the outcome is exactly the opposite.
